Executives from the social networking giant held a video meeting on Monday with heads of three advocacy groups after Facebook employees staged a virtual walkout to protest the company’s policies on controversial updates by the president. Internal Facebook revolt has surged amid the nationwide protests following the death of 46-year-old African-American George Floyd during an arrest by Minneapolis police on May 25. Demonstrations have since taken place across the world....

Back in March, Pulisic made his U.S. national team debut, coming on as a second-half substitute to enthusiastic cheers from fans who had already heard about a young player who could be the next American star. Fast-forward to Friday, before the U.S.-Mexico World Cup qualifier. The main event will feature “Hangman” Adam Page defending the AEW World Title against CM Punk. Punk has been on a roll since his feud with MJF, and recently called out Page for a title shot. Page, who has successfully defended the title against Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and Lance Archer, is ready to face someone who is beloved by AEW fans. Another title fight on the card is Thunder Rosa defending the AEW Women’s World Title against Serena Deeb....

Some impressive spots made it onto the show this week as fans shared videos of Dustin Rhodes’ Canadian destroyer on Sammy Guevara and The Young Bucks’ sensational roll through into a destroyer on PAC. Whilst there were several highs in terms of storyline and skill this week on Dynamite, the company fell foul to many botches that once again took the shine away from the stars of the show....

SCU won the AEW World Tag Team Championship back on October 30, 2019. They held the belts for almost three months until losing the titles now to The Elite (Kenny Omega and Hangman Page). This would actually mark the first title change in AEW’s short history. Morgan, who was on the scene, said that the match was great. He explained: From the sound of it, it does look like AEW is going to go all in with the ‘drunk’ Hangman Page storyline....

Fish has made quite an impact since debuting in AEW. The former Undisputed Era member has fought with top-notch stars like CM Punk, Sammy Guevara, and Bryan Danielson. Although he came up short against almost everyone, these bouts helped him get a much-needed spotlight. While speaking on a recent edition of AEW Unrestricted, Bobby Fish recalled his first-ever match against Bryan Danielson ten years ago. The former NXT star revealed that he and Bryan traveled together in Japan and on the indie circuit....

Since joining the AEW roster in late 2020, the WCW legend has aligned himself with Darby Allin. There wasn’t any history between the two men and there is also an age difference of 33 years. However, the two stars’ penchant for face paint and their mysterious personalities have made them a formidable and unique team. Still, some fans and wrestling veterans alike question the company’s decision to put the two wrestlers together without providing any backstory to it....

Shawn Spears’ time in AEW so far… Former WWE star Shawn Spears made his debut for All Elite Wrestling at their Double or Nothing pay-per-view, competing in the pre-show Casino Battle Royale. Shortly afterward, Spears would confirm his signing with AEW and at Fyter Fest, the man formerly known as ‘The Perfect 10’ would ignite a feud with Cody after hitting him with a steel chair shot to the head....

Moxley, who competed against Wheeler Yuta on Wednesday night’s show, won with relative ease. However, Danhausen’s unexpected interference did turn the tide in favor of the Best Friends member momentarily. Just like during his debut at Beach Break, where he simply stared at Adam Cole, the fan-favorite star did the same this week, allowing Wheeler Yuta to deliver a splash to a distracted Moxley. Once the show went off the air, Danhausen took to Twitter to apologize to Renee Paquette for his actions....

Pillman is a second-generation superstar who started appearing in the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2019. As far as Y2J is concerned, he was the inaugural AEW Champion and is one of the few active wrestlers of his era. Despite having already spent over 30 years as a wrestler, the former WWE world champion has no intentions of quitting. While appearing on Couch Conversations, Pillman professed that Y2J might have met his father Billy Pillman once....

The announcement tweet itself was direct and to the point, with AEW’s official Twitter account retweeting the information with a series of red sirens to catch scrollers’ attention. La Mera Mera defended her title against The Problem last Wednesday. In the end, the former outsmarted the latter via a roll-up pinning combination. Shafir attacked Rosa afterward, but Toni Storm came to the rescue and promptly teased a challenge for the title. However, the match wasn’t well-received because of Rosa allegedly no-selling Shafir’s moves. Former Ring of Honor star Erick Stevens (using the Twitter handle @ericinsarasota) thought La Mera Mera purposely “sandbagged” The Problem....

East Bengal Technical Director Subhash Bhowmick, who was one of India’stop strikers in the years gone by, is optimistic about India’s chances in the continental tournament. The Brazilian scored with a free-kick from an impossible angle to give Al Ahli a 2-0 lead in the final minute of the first half in their enounter with Al Taawoun. The UAE outfit went on to win the game 3-1 away from home at the Lokomotiv Stadium in Tashkent. Ribeiro’s free-kick helped them seal the win that took them to the top of Group A level on points with Iranian side Esteghlal FC who they face next in Tehran on April 25....

As such, it turned out to be a surprise of sorts when Jeju United won 2-0 against Urawa in the first leg of the tie this week. Marcelo Toscano’s early goal set them on their way while Jin Seong-Uk finished the game off with a late goal to give Jeju the advantage, going into the second leg. But in between all this were a clutch of fantastic saves from Jeju United’s 32-year-old custodian Kim Ho-Jun who put in a virtuoso display between the sticks, keeping the lethal Urawa attack at bay for the whole 90 minutes....

After a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Saudi Arabia, Urawa Red Diamonds knew all they had to do was keep a cleansheet and the trophy would be theirs for the first time since 2007. Skipper Yuki Abe was entrusted with that responsibility in a high-pressure game and the experienced campaigner rose to the fore with a battling display that won his team the coveted cup. The 36-year-old midfielder-turned-defender, who had actually a part of the Urawa team which won the tournament in 2017, led his team’s defensive line with aplombb and racked up a tally of 80% passing accuracy, made three tackles, and won two fouls in the second leg....

Hattan Bahebri and Mohammad Al-Shalhoub were on the scoresheet for Pericles Chamusca’s Al-Hilal, who recorded a 2-0 victory at home to Al-Ain in Group C. Bahebri opened the scoring inside a minute with a low strike and the sealer came late on through Al-Shalhoub. Esteghlal joined winless Al-Ain in exiting after only managing a 1-1 draw against Al-Duhail in Teheran. Xavi’s Al-Sadd also progressed after claiming a 2-1 win over Al-Ahli in Doha....

What transpired on Wednesday was a display of incredible goalscoring from their midfielder Murat Yakshiyev who helped himself to four goals in a 4-1 win that saw them keep abreast with Istiqlol with one more game left in the group. Narrow first leg win for Johor, Alay beaten by Altyn Asyr Yakshiyev showed fantastic instincts inside the penalty box for his goals, redirecting Suleyman Muhadov‘s shot beyond Alay goalkeeper for his first and then steering Arslanmyrat Amanov’s free kick over the line....

Both teams desperately need a win, with Bengaluru looking to stay top dog especially with Mohun Bagan in action a day later while Abahani need a win to stay in contention for a spot. With the AFC Cup having different qualification criteria, only one team will make it to the Semi-Final Zonal Play-offs from the group and hence a result becomes even more paramount for every side.
