The week-long “reduction in violence” began Friday and as of Monday appears to be holding up. International and Afghan forces agreed to pause all major offensive operations and the Taliban said it will not engage in roadside bombings, suicide attacks or rocket strikes. If successful, the period of reduced violence will give way to a full truce agreement between international forces and the Taliban on February 29 and peace talks between the Taliban and Afghan government as soon as March 10....

The National Sexual Assault Hotline operated by the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) received call volumes 31 percent above average on Monday, the day Kelly was convicted, and again on Tuesday, RAINN told Newsweek. RAINN has previously noted that news events involving the topic of sexual assault tend to result in increased numbers of calls to sexual assault hotlines. The allegations made against former film producer Harvey Weinstein in 2017 resulted in an increased number of calls, as did the allegations made against Brett Kavanaugh the following year ahead of his confirmation to the U....

While it was rumoured that Serena Deeb was already signed, according to Chris Jericho, this has made it official. AEW announced the signing through their official Twitter account. Serena Deeb worked for WWE as part of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society Serena Deeb is no stranger to the wrestling world. She has been on the circuit for 15 years, getting her start in OVW back in 2005. After spending time in Shimmer, she eventually debuted in WWE on the main roster in 2010....

Some of the agenda for this event includes new signings and partnerships, in addition to the ticket details for the promotion’s inaugural event- Double or Nothing, scheduled to take place in May. Hangman Page and SCU are certain to be there, as will a very special guest. Many expect Kenny Omega, who is a free agent at this time to sign with All Elite Wrestling at the event. The main event saw the first-ever Arcade Anarchy match with Kip Sabian and Miro taking on Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor. This week’s AEW Dynamite definitely did not disappoint. Christian Cage vs Frankie Kazarian kicked off AEW Dynamite AEW Dynamite started with Christian Cage making his in-ring debut against Frankie Kazarian. In case you didn’t know… The announcement between AAA and AEW is one that we expected at Sportskeeda, as we reported that several top independent promotions were looking to head into a partnership with the new AEW promotion. Hager stated that he has spoken with All Elite Wrestling, and hinted that he could sign with the company in the near future. In case you didn’t know… Jake Hager is famously known among the WWE Universe as Jack Swagger. He spent more than a decade in WWE and went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship on one occasion. He competed for the same against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 29, in a losing effort....

The 23-year-old has made several enemies during his short time in the promotion so far, chief among them being The Purveyor of Violence. The two men have been at each other’s throats since they first wrestled in the main event of AEW Rampage: The First Dance last year. Mox defeated Garcia in a grueling match that night. The two foes then met each other most recently on the Double or Nothing fallout episode, which saw Moxley emerge victorious again....

The “woman of 1000 holds” has had a significant attitude change since her return from injury in October 2021. She has looked and acted more aggressively than ever before, most notably in her feud closing match with Hikaru Shida on the January 12th edition of AEW Dynamite. After months of bad blood between the two performers, Deeb decimated the former women’s champion in under 2 minutes. Shida had to be helped to the backstage area after the match by several members of the AEW roster....

Jade Cargill captured the TBS Championship a year ago after defeating Ruby Soho in the finals of the tournament to determine the inaugural champion. Since then, Cargill has successfully defended the belt a whopping 16 times and has won every single time. Additionally, she’s never suffered a singles defeat in AEW since her debut in 2021. The official AEW Twitter page recently celebrated the impressive milestone by sharing a YouTube link of Jade Cargill defeating Ruby Soho on the January 5th episode of Dynamite....

The Dark Order member found his footing in the business by performing in smaller promotions in Canada, where fellow Canadians Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were also trying to make a name for themselves. Naturally, their paths crossed on more than one occasion.
