Applications from Afghans for asylum climbed roughly 30 percent since February when the United States announced it would be pulling troops out of Afghanistan. According to the EU’s asylum office, over 4,648 applications were submitted in May; about half tend to be successful. “It’s important that we can help these people in Afghanistan, when possible, to return to their homes,” EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson said. “We also need to help neighboring countries and support Afghanis and these neighboring countries in the region....

The request was made in a letter sent by Liberian official Musa Bility to fellow Confederation of African Football executive committee members. It comes a week after Bility denounced CAF President Ahmad while resigning from other positions within CAF. Lee and The Dark Order have been hounding Moxley in recent weeks and the champion will get a chance to get his hands on 10 tonight on AEW Dynamite. Although the match itself shouldn’t have big implications for tonight’s PPV, we could still see Moxley get outnumbered and assaulted by The Dark Order once again if he isn’t careful....

Most wrestling fans will remember that Bash at the Beach was probably one of WCW’s biggest Pay Per Views and was also the PPV that had the greatest heel turn in all of history and was the birthplace of one of the most famous wrestling stables of all time in 1996....

Starting with the official teaser, the upcoming THQ Nordic Showcase on August 12 at 12pm PT will feature the official gameplay debut of AEW Fight Forever. The short teaser released today confirms that, while also revealing the cover athletes. As previously leaked, the AEW Fight Forever box art features CM Punk in the middle, flanked by Britt Baker and Kenny Omega, with Chris Jericho, Jade Cargill, and Jon Moxley in the back....

AEW star Santana, one half of the Proud ’n’ Powerful tag team, reacted to Ali’s announcement by offering his respect to the former Retribution leader. With Ali facing plenty of uncertainty at the moment, Santana noted that he respects the renowned performer. Mustafa Ali spent much of 2021 engaged in a program with Mansoor. The two performed together as a tag team before their partnership fell apart. The feud culminated in a match at Crown Jewel, where Ali failed to pick up the victory....

In case you didn’t know… Soon after he left WWE, Jon Moxley released an incredibly well-made promo on Twitter, that showed him escaping prison and embracing his old persona. Moxley made wrestling fans go into a frenzy when he made his thunderous debut at the end of AEW Double Or Nothing. He immediately made an impact by attacking Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, who had just main-evented the PPV. Moxley was next seen in NJPW, where he defeated Juice Robinson to win the IWGP United States Title....
