For those unaware, Hikaru Shida retained her All Elite Women’s Championship against Tay Conti in a tremendous match last year on Dynamite. The two stars put on, arguably, one of the best women’s title matches in Dynamite history. The segment started off with Chris Jericho giving an anti-climatic announcement that he was going to get his “Thank You” from everyone next week on AEW Dynamite. SCU came out to rub it in Jericho’s face that Scorpio Sky was the first man to pin him in AEW. This eventually led to Jericho wanting to challenge Scorpio Sky to a match with his AEW Championship on the line. Eventually, this led to a beatdown by The Inner Circle who pulverized SCU, with Scorpio Sky receiving a Judas Effect for good measure....

They were set up for a title bout against SCU at Full Gear, but it was made into a triple threat match, bringing in the winner of the Private Party vs Dark Order match. Private Party were able to pull out the victory, finally getting a shot at gold.
